There’s something special about sailing with a destination in mind. Instead of simply sailing around the bay, our Sail Away cruises give you the chance to head further afield, sailing in company to a nearby island or secluded beach.
Accompanied by our instructors and a support RIB, you’ll learn the basics of cruise planning, navigation, pilotage and safety, as well as useful longer-distance sailing techniques.
We usually set off from mid-morning, timing cruises so they don’t clash with any RYA courses you may be taking.
It all begins with a shore-based briefing from our dinghy instructors before the flotilla heads out together for a proper mini-adventure on the water.
Expect around half to three-quarters of a day afloat, with a stopover along the way and plenty of time to enjoy the journey as much as the destination.
