Walking & Hiking

All of our Beach Clubs and destinations offer some fantastic walking itineraries, whether you’re looking for a sedate coastal walk or a more serious hike into the mountains. Our beautiful island destinations offer some of the most spectacular scenery with secluded beaches and lots of colourful villages and ancient Greek ruins to visit.

Try island hopping

Why not take an early morning ferry boat to islands such as Ithaca and Kefalonia (from Vassiliki) or the historic island of Hydra or Spetses (from Porto Heli)? The boat leaves from the harbour nearby (in fact right outside our hotel in Porto Heli) and a day trip to any of these islands will promise you some incredible walks, spectacular vistas and something new. You can even take a bike of ours if you’d like to explore on two-wheels as well?

Guided Walks

We often use local walking guides, who (for a small local supplement), will host a half day or a full day walk along a variety of itineraries to suit your tastes. Walks through Olive groves, into the mountains, to the waterfalls and along stunning coastal paths or to historic sites are just some of what’s in store.

Guides are always English speaking and very sociable people who are there to share a wealth of information about local history, the flora and fauna, wildlife and the cultural trends of the area. Alternatively, if you prefer to head out on your own, we supply route cards with suggested walks and maps of the local area.

Where’s best for walking?

We love to walk in Porto Heli, there are lots of cultural sites to visit, like ancient ruins and even amphitheatres. Boat trips are easy to take because the boat leaves the jetty in front of our hotel. The local area around our hotel has lots of ancient ruins and secret beaches to visit.

Vassiliki has some stunning coastal walks and alot of hilly terrain and shady olive groves. Boat trips can be taken from the harbour just 10 mins walk from our hotel.

Kos has lots of hills, coastal walks and lively towns to walk to. It’s coastal road is seemingly endless and provides easy walking straight from the hotel as it links to Kardamena and other villages and towns.
