If you’ve done a little windsurfing before then you’re going to love our Beach Clubs! They’re great for improving windsurfers, with warm water and reliable wind conditions to enable fast progression. In addition, you’ll be able to ‘free-sail’ our top-notch windsurf kit whenever you want. Simply choose a board, let the beach team know and head out into our sailing area.
If you’d like to develop your windsurfing, then try our Level 2 RYA course for Intermediates. It’s a free-and-inclusive course and offers a fun and sociable group session with 6:1 student-instructor ratios. You get the best, most focussed coaching we know of and after your course (4 half days), we’ll send you home a confident windsurfer with a new RYA qualification and certificate to prove your new skill. Not a bad addition to your suntan, and it’ll last you a lifetime!
Windsurfing lessons and our excellent RYA courses* are included in our holidays and they’re run by our own team of Royal Yachting Association (RYA) instructors. You can join a (free) RYA course to give you a nice focus for the week, or just windsurf for fun.
We know we’ve got the formula just right: perfect intermediate windsurfing conditions at all our centres, coupled with a brilliant team of instructors - that’s why we keep our guests coming back every year!
You can dip in and out of lessons during your week (depending on your energy levels!) and there's no need to pre-book tuition or courses. Just sign up to the sessions when you arrive at our clubs. If you do all 4 half-days of our Level 2 course (which is lots of fun and easy to achieve) you’ll get to go home with a new qualification.
If you’re ready to move up a gear, Level 2, Intermediate ‘Non-Planing’ is an exciting course which prepares you for the excitement of PLANING your board, (blast control) which is taught in Level 3. Run by our own team of expert RYA instructors, they will ensure you go home a more confident windsurfer, able to sail on all points in stronger winds, using beachstarts with faster tacking and gybing. You'll also have earned yourself a new and Internationally recognised RYA sailing qualification to boast about!
We’ll cover new techniques such as the foot-strap and harness work to get you ready for the excitement of blast control and planing. Beachstarts and gybing are taught within this course if time allows. For ages 14+. Under 13's will join our free kid's club (5 days) with sailing and windsurfing tasters. The 8-13's can join our Youth Squad.
Level 2 Windsurfing is a progressive course! We move the level along and get you used to sailing in stronger winds. New techniques such as the beachstart and harness work will get you ready for the excitement of blasting control and the ultimate feeling of PLANING which is taught in Level 3. In fact, if you’re staying for two weeks, then why not try your Level 3 as well?
Our instructors make it fun and enjoyable and we use our ‘Fast Forward’ coaching techniques with small group sizes (6 students) to quicken the learning. You’ll progress at your own pace and enjoy the satisfaction of learning more advanced techniques, early on.
We run the course in the mid-mornings or early afternoon, often after our free daily sessions have ended. Most of the course is out on the water and your instructor and a support boat is always close by. After your course, you’ll have earned your RYA Level 2 Intermediate Windsurfing certificate, and be ready for the excitement of Level 3.
All our resorts offer the perfect conditions for improving windsurfers, where reliable winds and warm, waist deep waters (along with our free tuition!) help to quicken the learning curve.
Progressing has never been easier with our latest generation of wide and stable boards and lightweight rigs which help you with control when learning new moves. In all resorts, our free-and-inclusive Improver lessons take place in the mid-morning or early afternoon when the breeze gets up a bit, for four days of your week. You’ll learn lots of new tips and you’ll also meet lots of other windsurfing guests to share the experience with.
The Surf Hotel in Vassiliki is our Specialist Windsurf Centre and has the greatest range of kit. But all our centres are ideal for Improver windsurfers of all ages, especially Nautica Bay in Porto Heli and Akti Beach in Kos
You’ll find all the kit and tuition you could ever need in our well-stocked centres. All our Beach Clubs have a full range of kit, for all levels up to advanced and it has been specially selected to suit the local conditions.
We use leading brands like Starboard, Tushingham and Severne and have all types of board from super-stable beginner boards and easy going free-ride boards, to high-performance race, freestyle and wave boards, which are all very current. Just bring your board shorts and a rash vest. We’ll supply the rest.
Over the last ten years, we’ve taught thousands of guests to learn to windsurf and sail. It’s our energetic, top-notch team of British RYA instructors that make it all so great! They run sociable learning groups using the Ocean Elements ‘Fast Forward’ learning principles. All our centres have the right conditions and kit to help you progress and we love teaching people to sail. Perhaps that’s why our instructors scored 98% ‘Excellent’ from our client surveys from 2018.
We pick our staff for their friendly and outgoing natures and they’re always on hand to help you rig up, get launched and teach you some tips - whether you’re in a lesson or not!

“We were parents with 3 teenage boys. Ocean Elements gave us a great vacation. Mainly good training in windsurfing and sailing, plus some of the group did paddleboarding, canoeing etc. too. Staff were fantastically helpful - whoever does the OE hiring is doing a good job. We generally don't go to same places twice, but this was a great find and would consider it again.”
