We include a 3 hour starter lesson (on the water) for beginner sailors and windsurfers; and those of whom may need a little ‘brushing up’ in order to use our beach kit all week. We also run daily skill clinics (which are shore based) for all abilities, covering everything from tacks and gybes to spinnaker handling and water starts. We provide safety boat cover on the water all day, so you can just enjoy the sailing whilst our expert team are close at hand.

What meals are provided?

The Ultra All-Inclusive Package is included with all our holidays, with all the food and drink you should ever need! Here’s what’s in store for summer 2020

Kids Clubs & Creche

Akti beach operates their own Kids Clubs with a crèche (ages 1-4), and mini club (ages 4-13) and teenagers club (ages 13-15). We are not running a full Ocean Elements Kids Club this year but our water sports team will take kids on water sports tasters and joyrides in boats, paddleboards, kayaks and windsurf boards.

Kos Wind Information

Typical pattern:

Mornings: F1-3
Afternoons: F4-7

Most days will start the same: the mornings generally ease in with a gentle on-shore Force 1-2 breeze and calm water, before the thermal winds build around late morning. Mornings are the perfect time for families, beginners and improvers learning to windsurf and sail. It’s also a good time to go paddle boarding, kayaking and water skiing; or for the experts to try out new kit and skills like sailing with spinnakers..

Normally, the thermal wind will build around lunchtime to offer exciting sailing and windsurfing for intermediates. Our formula of top-notch equipment and expert RYA instructors will ensure that windsurfers and sailors have fun on the water at all times.

What’s the beach like?

The beach on Kos outside our centre is a long stretch of sandy beach mixed with some stones. Wade out into waist-deep crystal-clear water for some distance which helps make windsurfing and sailing easier. Enjoy very clean waters and safe swimming for all ages.

The Beach Club gardens lead onto the beach and there are sun loungers and umbrellas by the water, a beach bar and our Ocean Elements water sports centre is nearby.
