All our flotillas have evening entertainments, kids fun and games and organised activities like paddleboard safari’s, bike rides (using hire bikes) and family walks to break up the sailing.

You can join a friendly group of like-minded sailors and either sail yourself, or hire a skipper to do as much (or as little) of the sailing as you choose.

A flotilla is the ultimate stress-free holiday. You can leave the route planning to us and we’ll even help you moor up at the end of each day! Share mealtimes with us or do your own thing as you and sail around the breathtaking Greek islands.

Getting qualified

To hire a yacht anywhere abroad, with us or another operator then you will need some prior experience and a piece of paper to prove your skills, like an RYA Day Skipper, an ICC or a similar qualification.

If you have none of the above then one of our Stay Sail Holidays might be your best option. In just a week we can have you trained up and ready to skipper your own yacht on our Flotilla for week two. You can book onto a course as a solo, a couple or a family looking to get trained together during a week-long cruising holiday with our instructor. Learning is so much more fun when it’s in the sun!

What to expect...

Our flotillas are exclusively run for Ocean Elements’ guests and they have our hallmark of ‘fun and relaxed’ all over them!

When you arrive at the marina our lead crew will come and meet you. They’ll get you checked onto your yacht as soon as they can, and if there’s a short wait, you can use the time to provision at the local grocery stores or relax in the marina bar.

Once aboard, our lead crew will show you how everything works and tell you about our week’s plans. Then you can relax, switch off, and enjoy a well-earned drink before joining us for an evening meal in a local Taverna to meet your fellow flotilla sailors.

A full skippers briefing will be done on your first morning over breakfast before we help you push off to your first port of call - where our lead crew will be ready-and-waiting to help you moor up.

All the Planning Done for You

Our flotillas follow a pre-planned route, but you can sail your own path if you choose. Our lead boat is always close at hand and our expert team will help you as much (or as little) as you desire. Let us help you moor up each night and organise the itinerary - so you can relax and enjoy each destination.

During the day you’ll have the freedom to sail at your own pace and find yourself a secluded anchorage for lunch. Our routes will take in the best islands and anchorages in the area; and in the evening we’ll often get together for a group meal. There’s plenty of fun and games for the kids (and adults!) organised by our flotilla hosts throughout the week.

Join our welcome punch party and evening socials where we swap stories of the day's sailing, and your kids love the flotilla entertainments and mixing with other families.

Our lead crew will give briefings each morning about the day's sailing with recommendations on anchorages and things to do at each stopover, along with general sailing assistance whenever required. Their presence increases the safety, comfort and ‘feel good’ factor of doing things as part of a group. It also makes for a more relaxing holiday for your skipper!

Flexi Flotilla

Our new Flexi Flotilla allows you to dip in and out of our flotilla and mix up sociable sailing with Bareboating, as you choose.

Perfect for those that don’t want a whole week of flotilla and prefer some time to themselves, but still relish the idea of a sociable group when they want and help with route planning from the lead boat.

Choose from a great range of yachts

Choose from a great range of cruising yachts in our Lefkas marina fleet, from 36 to 51feet. They’re all fully equipped with a galley (that’s the kitchen), a bathroom, shower and WC, (or the heads to us sailor types), and everything that you’ll possibly need for your week afloat, including a cockpit table for alfresco dinners and a bathing platform for the array of beautiful anchorages you’ll visit.

Each yacht is prepared for your arrival, including bed linen and towels, so you’ll just need to provision for your food and drink which you can do locally when you arrive.

Stay & Sail holidays

Why not combine a yacht flotilla or bareboat charter with a week at our fantastic Surf Hotel Beach Club in Vassiliki (Ionian); or our Nautica Bay Beach Club in Porto Heli (Aegean).

Spend your first week relaxing at our waterside hotels and getting the family hooked on sailing before taking to your yacht on our flotilla in week two. Or, if you need a skippers qualification, spend your first week taking a Day Skipper course on our tuition yacht in Vassiliki (9-5pm, 5 days) while your family rests up back at the Club.
