Akti Palace runs its own kids’ clubs with its animations staff and has creche facilities. There are also a number of play areas in the centre.
Our guests love our Ocean Elements Kids Club which is why we also include it for free. Our clubs are run by our own British childcare staff and RYA instructors and they’re only for Ocean Elements guests, so it’s all nice and exclusive. Your kids will make lots of new friends and have a whale of a time trying new activities and watersports tasters all week. But don’t blame us when they won’t want to leave!
Our RYA Youth Squad is very popular and gives 8-13yr olds lots of dedicated coaching in both windsurfing and sailing as part of a stage in their RYA certificates. We recommend booking before departure.
Both our Beach Clubs in Kos are very well-stocked for sailing and windsurfing, with advanced boards, the latest boats and more kit than you’ll ever need. All our beach kit is only free for Ocean Elements guests to use.

Each day in paradise starts the same: The morning eases in with a gentle on-shore Force 1-2 breeze and very calm water. This is perfect for families and beginners learning to windsurf and sail, or trying paddle sports and water skiing, (payable locally). It’s also a good time for the experts to try out new kit or moves.
The thermal wind builds slowly around lunchtime and remains very manageable offering fun sailing for all levels into the afternoon. Around 2pm the wind builds again – giving even more exciting conditions for windsurfers and sailors. Our formula of top-notch equipment and expert RYA instructors will ensure most sailors (improver and up) can continue sailing all afternoon.

Dinghy Sailing and Windsurfing tuition (for all levels - beginner to expert) is included in the cost of your holiday. We also include free RYA courses so you can go home with a new Internationally recognised qualification at the end of your stay.
You can dip in and out of lessons during your week (depending on your energy levels!) and there's no need to pre-book tuition or courses. Just sign-up for the sessions when you arrive in the resort.
If you are interested in paddlesports - then we also offer a free paddleboard and kayak lesson to get beginners started and to help experts with technique.
The beach on Kos outside our centre is a long stretch of sandy beach mixed with some stones. Wade out into waist-deep crystal-clear water for some distance which helps make windsurfing and sailing easier. Enjoy very clean waters and safe swimming for all ages.
The Beach Club gardens lead onto the beach and there are sun loungers and umbrellas by the water, a beach bar and our Ocean Elements water sports centre is nearby.
