The Greek islands are open, with a lot of good feeling and well-thought preparations made by our hotel owners, suppliers and of course our Ocean Elements Activity Managers who are responsible for giving you a super welcome and an unforgettable holiday of watersports and fun. Everyone's itching to get back to work and none more so than the Greek locals who will openly welcome any form of tourism. So our staff are currently setting up our watersports equipment and making the final plans and preparations to provide as safe an environment as we possibly can for this new COVID era.
We have introduced a plan for opening our Beach Clubs in Kos and our staff have waited in earnest (for too long now!) to make it a very special time for those fortunate enough to be able to travel out to Greece.
Yes, there will be some changes - though none that we feel will significantly impact your holiday - and in fact, we think the changes will only make it better!
There will be a general capacity restriction, with special focus on transfer coaches, mealtime planning, public areas (lounges), use of leisure facilities and activities planning so that guests can still enjoy the beach, its watersports and the wide range of activities which will be available.
The Hotels’ own staff will be rigorously retrained to implement robust new cleaning standards and hotels and chalets will offer the best possible protection against infections during these unusual times. Our own waterfront staff will be implementing thorough cleaning measures of all beach and bike equipment [at handover] and social distancing at the new guidelines.
Enjoying energising activities in beautiful surroundings is what it’s all about in the Greek islands! A benefit of our activities is that they all take place outside, and are led by conscientious instructors who will reduce group sizes and practice safe distancing.
Certain activities may require ‘closer contact’ or a partner (like a double handed boat), and these can often be organised so that you are teamed up with members from your own ‘Booking Bubble’.
