Ionian Yacht Charter

Lefkada perfectly serves the southern Ionian and the many picturesque Islands which offer thousands of miles of stunning coastline with clear water inlets, bays and quaint harbour towns to explore.

The Ionian's are the least challenging of all our destinations and offer sailors a sheltered sailing area with short island-hopping distances, easy-holding anchorages and culture tours and fantastic things-to-do ashore to break up the sailing.

As well as consistent wind and a friendly welcome in every port, you can expect lots of hot sunshine and a long summer which starts in April and ends in October.

Suggested Ionian Route

Day 1 (Sunday)

1700-1800 Yacht handover and briefing on systems, sail contrails, deck gear, navigational aids. Enjoy dinner in the excellent Margherita restaurant which looks out over the water and our boats.

Day 2 (Monday)

Lefkas Marina to Sivota, lying due South approx. 16nm.

Sivota is a beautiful natural harbour, very well protected, and a pretty village surrounds the quay where all boats moor stern-to. Enjoy the superb restaurants and other flotilla guests at our Welcome Puch Party

Day 3 (Tuesday)

Sivota to Fiskardo, lying due South approx. 12nm.

The ancient town of Fiskardo is a cosmopolitan port with boutique shopping and fantastic tavernas. It attracts a well-heeled crowd and with its surrounding forest has been declared an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Day 4 (Wednesday)

Fiskardo to Aghia Efymia, lying due South approx. 12nm.

This quaint little stop over is a chance for guests to join a Dive boat for some extra-sailing activities. Explore the market and a join our group evening meal at the lovely taverna which is always fun!

Day 5 (Thursday)

Aghia Efymia to Vathi (Ithaca) lying South East approx. 17nm.

The capital of Ithaca offers a choice of shops, cultural interests and things to do. With superb tavernas and deep water moorings.

Day 6 (Friday)

Vathi (Ithaca) to Vassiliki, lying North West approx. 15nm.

The busy little harbour side village of Vassiliki is a pretty place to relax and has a pleasant surf-inspired vibe. Good nightlife and well-priced tavernas. Take a day out and try some beach activities at our Surf hotel like dinghy sailing and windsurfing!

Day 7 (Saturday)

Vassiliki to Lefkas Marina, lying North West approx. 30nm.

After the fun of Vassiliki, return to Lefkas the next day for a decent (30 mile) sail and stop over for lunch time swimming at many beautiful anchorages along the way. At Lefkas, our farewell evening meal is always fun!

Day 8 (Sunday)

Changeover or departure day

Hand back the yacht for 0900-0930hrs. Transfer to airport or Beachclub for week two. Flight to the UK. Try Bareboat sailing for yachts on a 2-week flotilla.
