Our Bavaria 37 Cruiser is a fully equipped tuition yacht, based in Vassiliki. You can take a Start Yachting, Competent Crew or Day Skipper course during a one or two week cruise around the Ionian with an Ocean Elements Yacht Master Instructor.

Learning in the sun is a lot of fun and you can book a cabin and share the yacht, or book the yacht and instructor privately for your group. We can teach every course from Youth Sailing (10+) to Day Skipper so pupils of mixed ability can learn together. More on our courses

You can choose

You can join the yacht as a liveaboard and cruise the islands as you learn; or as a Beachclub guest and join the yacht each day (9-5pm, 5 days) to get qualified. You can book the yacht privately for 2-5 people; or join her as a solo or a couple on a shared basis.

For Liveaboards, you will stay on the boat for 7 nights and the course includes 5 days of tuition with practical hands-on sailing every day. For your day off you can explore the local area or make use of a free day of watersports at our Vassiliki Beach Club.

For Beach Club guests you’ll join the yacht for 5 days of your week - rather like a day pupil - and get your skippers qualification while the family enjoy watersports and kids’ clubs back at base. It’s a short walk to the marina each day to join the yacht for your day of sailing.

Skippered Charter

This yacht is available for Skippered charter. A skippered holiday lets you enjoy as much or as little sailing as you want, whilst giving you some good company and your own personal guide around the islands. After all, they know all the best anchorages and island stopovers. On a skippered charter, you can follow our classic flotilla route and join in with the evening socials or sail your own path and be as adventurous, or as relaxed as you like. You decide the itinerary and your skipper will do their best to accommodate it.

Following our flotilla

Our skippered charter yachts can follow our Ocean Elements’ Flotilla. If you follow our flotilla (which promises to be a sociable week) you’ll get to explore the stunning Ionian islands. Most evenings, you’ll step ashore to join us for a group meal and some family fun and games or an excursion or two (like our popular paddleboard cruise) to break up the sailing. You can also arrange for your skipper to sleep aboard our lead boat whilst at anchor, if you’d like some extra privacy, or you need to use his cabin. This can be arranged especially for you, when you book.

Stay & Sail

This yacht is available for a two week Stay Sail in Vassiliki Combine a relaxing week at either of our Vassiliki Beach Clubs with all-inclusive water sports, activities and excursions before you head off for a cruise around the Ionian islands on our flotilla or for bareboating.

It’s the perfect ‘twin centre’ holiday. You can combine the best of both worlds’ with relaxation and watersports at our Beach Clubs before heading out to explore the Ionians and enjoying the freedom of a yachting holiday.

Why not combine one of our yacht training courses with a flotilla holiday so you can get qualified in week one to skipper your yacht in week two.

Book a Skipper

Take the pressure off with a skippered sailing holiday. Whether you're a newbie to sailing or you'd like an expert on board to lend a hand and give you a proper chance to relax.

Skippers are charged from £120 per day, which is £840 per week. That's only £140 per person for a group of six!
