Ocean Elements Kids Club

Our guests love our Ocean Elements Kids Club which is why we also include it for free for five days. Our clubs are run by our own British childcare staff and RYA instructors and they’re only for Ocean Elements guests, so it’s all nice and exclusive. Your kids will make lots of new friends and have a whale of a time trying new activities and watersports tasters all week. But don’t blame us when they won’t want to leave!

Our RYA Youth Squad is very popular and gives 8-12yr olds lots of dedicated coaching in both windsurfing and sailing as part of a stage in their RYA certificates. We recommend booking before departure.

Vassiliki Wind Information

Typical pattern:

Mornings: F1-2
Afternoons: F4-7

Every day in paradise starts the same. Mornings offer a gentle on-shore breeze and calm conditions, (Force 1-2), perfect for families and beginners to learn windsurfing and sailing or to try paddle sports. It’s also a good time for the experts to experiment with new kit and technique.

‘Eric’, (our favourite Thermal wind), is a daily occurrence, in fact something of a local phenomenon and strengthens slowly after lunch. It remains very manageable, offering fun and exciting sailing for all levels into the afternoon. Later in the afternoon ‘Eric’ will often build again to provide stronger winds which is why our beach stays open until late. Our formula of top-notch equipment and expert RYA instructors, will ensure that most sailors (improver and up) can continue sailing all afternoon. There’s only a little surface chop, no waves and fantastic windsurf and sailing conditions all day.

What meals are provided?

Breakfast & Lunch

We provide a daily breakfast with full continental options like fruit, yoghurt, ham, cheese, cereals, local breads, patisseries and cooked options like eggs and bacon.

Lunch

Our Driftwood beach bar serves a lunchtime meal and snack menu at reasonable prices. Expect a delicious selection of sandwiches, wraps, salads, pizza, pasta, burgers and local favourites like souvlaki and moussaka with healthy options.

Dinner

For two or three nights a week we offer evening theme meals in our Sky bar which has the best view of Vassiliki bay. On other nights, the local Taverna’s provide good food at reasonable prices and most have waterside seating. Main courses start from only €7 or €8

We include tuition for beginners with all our holidays using our own British team of RYA instructors. So, if you’ve never set foot on a boat or a board before, or you need a refresher, then do make use of our free ‘Start Windsurfing’ lesson and our ‘Start Sailing’ lesson (3 hrs) at the beginning of your holiday. Or join our free (shore based) ‘Refresher Windsurfing’ lessons.

After your lesson you should be more than equipped with the skills to ‘free-sail’ our dinghies and windsurf kit all week, in calm conditions. All our equipment is free for you to use and our beach team are on hand (all week) to help you rig-up and get launched whenever you choose to go sailing. A support boat will always be on the water when you are sailing as your safety is of the utmost importance to us.

Our group lessons are a lot of fun. You’ll be meeting other great guests and benefitting from our ‘Fast-Forward’ coaching techniques to progress your sailing. You can book a full RYA course for a guest-special price of £69 for 8-10 hours tuition. Pretty good value at £6.90 an hour! Or try our private lessons from £34 per hour.

We offer all RYA course levels, 1 to 4, and they run in small groups with a maximum of 6 students to 1 instructor to quicken the learning curve. You can book a course when you arrive in resort, but we’d recommend you book before you travel to ensure availability.

Courses are for ages 14+. Under 13’s can join our free kids club (with sailing and windsurf tasters) and 8-12’s can join our Youth Squad for dedicated tuition.
